Saving lives and spreading compassion through rescue, rehabilitation and adoption

about us

Genevieve's Gentle Hearts Rescue was created to give forgotten, abandoned and abused animals a second chance at life. GGHR promotes compassion and the well being of all animals. GGHR mainly rescues goats but is experienced in the care of most traditionally farmed animals. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Alamo, CA

Rescuing Farmed Animals

saving lives

GGHR works across California to rescue animals in need. We are also able to coordinate rescues long distance across the U.S. thanks to our amazing network of rescues and transporters. If you have or know of an animal that may need rescue please contact us by phone (925) 324-1987 or email (genevievetwinkle@gmail.com) or reach out to one of our amazing partners via the link below.

foster and rehabilitation

second chances

GGHR specializes in the care and rehabilitation of disabled animals. We are one of the few rescues in the world to offer care and corrective surgery to cleft palate ruminants. We have extensive experience in caring for animals with mobility issues and congenital facial deformities. We work with a variety of talented vets including those at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. We also help animals who might not have medical issues, but are in danger of slaughter or euthanasia and need rescue. Check out some of our past rescue missions and former foster animals on our success stories page!
